Taylor Swift's "Ours" Smashes Chart, Hits #1
Remember
that Taylor Swift video for “Ours”? The one that blatantly took a picture of my
life at that moment and used it as the plot for her country smash? Yeah, that
one that destroyed any chances of your faves’ Kodak-shot music videos receiving
any airplay on television.
That
video caused the song to finally reach No. 1 on the Billboard Country
Charts. It’s Queen Tay Tay’s 6 th No. 1 on the chart and hopefully not the
last. “Enchanted” has yet to continue Taylor’s infinite streak of undivided success and
dominate airwaves, thus providing peace and serenity within our mundane lives.
Is
there any way of stopping this unstoppable beast? At the rate that Taylor’s
releasing hit singles, we might receive 3 greatest hit albums next year under
our homemade Christmas trees. Can someone say “yay”? Thought so!

Is The Pop World Ready For A Zac Efron And Taylor Swift Duet?
Is
the king of Disney and fairly new Queen of Country finally featuring on a duet?
During an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax co-stars Taylor
Swift and Zac Efron took over Ellen’s show to show off Zac’s new magical
musicianship nobody knew he had. Who knew that Taylor taught him how to play
guitar while they were busy working on the animated film together? They busted
a rendition of their practice song, “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster The People,
although they altered the lyrics to “every single time I come on the show it’s
really weird, really weird, all because of Ellen”.

Taylor Swift Looks For A "Safe & Sound" Place In New Video
Taylor Swift just annihilated your faves, period. Gone are the days of singing about being a
prepubescent girl practicing what she learnt in life orientation class and now
a mature woman is welcomed into this world.
The
Second Coming of Shania Twain steps into country-folk territory with her new
single “Safe & Sound”, trading her happy-go-round pop jams for a more eerie
and dark sound, revolving around an apocalyptic theme. The Grammy committee is weeping tears of joy, as well as The Civil
War who are finally experiencing more success thanks to their 1 minute opening
on the Grammy Awards. Could Civil War have been the inspiration that pushed the
usual demure Taylor to grow up and risk her sound?

Taylor Swift And Paula Fernandes Soar On 'Long Live'

Pop-country queen Taylor Swift teams
up with Brazilian sertanejo and country singer Paula Fernandes on the song ‘Long
Live’, off her amazing album “Speak Now: World Tour Live”.
‘Long Live’ is one of the best
songs crafted by the chart topper, allowing both Taylor’s and Paula’s to
distinctly sing their parts with conviction in their voices. Paula sounds as if
she feels right at home on ‘Long Live’, taking her rightful place as Brazilian’s
country queen and giving Taylor
a run for her own golden locks.
Taylor Swift Shows Growth On 'Safe & Sound' From 'The Hunger Games'

It seems like my baby Taylor Swift is growing up too
fast!
Teaming up with country-folk duo The
Civil War, Taylor steps out of her comfort zone by contributing to ‘The Hunger
Games’ soundtrack, an upcoming movie where children have to kill each other to
survive.

Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift get CMT Nods, Jason Aldean leads
The CMT Awards are on their way and the nominations have been revealed. The nominees were revealed on NBC's Today on Wednesday morning and the online fan voting in all 10 of the awards categories is open until June 7. The show will be taking place in Nashville, Tennessee, the heart and soul of country music, on June 8.
Leading the pack is Jason Aldean, with four nominations to his name. Other nominations include The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and Zac Brown Band who earned themselves three nominations apiece. Kenny Chesney, Sugarland and Carrie Underwood earned two nominations. All of these seven artists are in the running in the top category for video of the year.
Surprisingly, Justin Bieber seems to be at every award show as he has landed a CMT Award nod for his reworked version of “That Should Be Me” featuring country duo Rascal Flatts. He faces though competition against Jason Aldean with Kelly Clarkson for their Billboard top 40 hit "Don't You Wanna Stay," Kid Rock featuring Sheryl Crow for "Collide," Aaron Lewis featuring George Jones and Charlie Daniels for "Country Boy" and Loretta Lynn, Miranda Lambert and Sheryl Crow for "Coal Miner's Daughter" in the Collaborative Video of the Year category.
Taylor Swift also gets three nods for her “Mine” video, which includes Bes Web Video of the Year (which is for her Speak Now album release party), Female Video of the Year and Video of the Year. Carrie Underwood is also nominated for two awards, facing off against Swift in the Female Video of the Year and Video of the Year categories with her video for "Undo It." This should really be interesting to see who gets the awards; we all know how huge Taylor’s fan base is.
Interesting enough, Adele, Train and John Mayer are also up for CMT Performance of the Year for their collaborations with Darius Rucker, Martina McBride and Keith Urban. They're up against Zac Brown Band and Jimmy Buffett and Reba.
All the artists in the Best Video Category is Jason Aldean's My Kinda Party, Kenny Chesney's The Boys of Fall, Lady Antebellum's Hello World, Miranda Lambert's The House That Built Me, Rascal Flatts' Why Wait, Sugarland's Stuck Like Glue, Taylor Swift's Mine, the Band Perry's If I Die Young, Carrie Underwood's Undo It and Zac Brown Band's Colder Weather.
Fans can go to the CMT website to vote online for their favourite artist.
