Snaps! Chris Brown On "Don't Wake Me Up" Video Set

Chris Brown Don't Wake Me Up TheLavaLizard
Chris Brown is really beating his contemporaries with all of these fast food releases. After serving some hotness with "Don't Wake Me Up", Chris is ready to film the song's accompanying video. However, expect to see videos of his singles "Till I Die" and "Sweet Love" just incase you thought Chris was about to take a break.

Below are pictures of Chris on the single's set, which was directed by Collin Tilley and Andrew Listermann. Chris sure loves to abuse Instagram like...

Anyway, 'Fortune' will be available July 3rd and Chris will also appear in Nicki Minaj's terrible single "Right By My Side" video, which debuts soon.

Chris Brown Drowns His Vocals In New Single "Don't Wake Me Up"

Chris Brown continues to push and shove his material down our throats from his upcoming album 'Fortune', due July 3. The song was produced by David Guetta, which is not to hard to comprehend due to the fact that the song is drench in autotuned and light synths.

Chris Brown Sets The Dancefloor Alight On 'Dancing With The Stars'

Chris Brown is one of the most entertaining artists out right now. I criticise his music because I know he can do better, but his performances always leaves me looking for a new wig.

Last night was no different, as Chris performed his hit single "Turn Up The Music" on 'Dancing With The Stars'. The poor contestants must have been so shaken up after watching Chris snatch their wigs off one by one without even breaking a sweat. I could see most of them attempting to hand in their numbers and leave the studio before the end of the show.

Missy Elliott Jumps Onto Busta Rhymes' "Why Stop Now (Remix)"

Since we all heard of news breaking that Missy Elliott would return to revolutionize the now defunct genre formerly known as hip-hop (now called hip-pop), we were all expecting Missy to make her grand return to music, starting with her random collaborations.

Missy jumps onto Busta Rhymes’ new single “Why Stop Now” featuring Chris Brown. It's amazing that I can make a prediction without even listening to this song - Missy ended the careers of these two artists!

Listen below and get your mind blown – in typical Missy style!

Chris Brown Snags Will.I.Am For Second Single

Chris Brown is making sure that he keeps those hits coming and has enlisted the help of Will.I.Am to produce and rap on the upcoming second single.

The single, “One of Those Nights”, is set to be released in a few weeks time and will surely cater to the pop audience. I’m glad that we've been given a few weeks to pack our bags because I am not ready to hear another over-produced song, drenched in buckets of autotune that would make Britney Spears sound like a pre-drugged Whitney Houston.

However, I'll reserve judgement, and if the song is as hot and trashy as "Big Fat Bass", then Chris has another classic on his hands!

Now excuse me while I go back to listening to ‘Chris Brown’ and ‘Exclusive’…

New Music: Chris Brown Featuring Kevin McCall - 'Mona Lisa'

Kevin McCall and Chris Brown
When Chris Brown announced that him and Kevin McCall would work on new music for his upcoming album, ‘Fortune’, I would have never imagined that most of the songs would feature him. Maybe I'm just looking into things to deeply?

Chris Brown Welcomed Back To The Grammy Awards

It seems that Chris Brown’s year is about to start off positively as it was announced that the singer is set to make an appearance at the 2012 Grammy Awards. This will mark the comeback singer’s first time at the prestigious award show since the 2009 domestic violence ordeal between him and ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

An anonymous source has stated that Brown has intentions of showing up at the ceremony for all three of the awards that he has been nominated for.
"Chris absolutely plans on attending the Grammys and is in talks with producers of the show to possibly perform," said the source. "Chris performed at the MTV Video Music Awards several months ago, and his performance was simply over the top as he was flying through the air like an acrobat. Chris' performance stole the show, and he would love to do something at the Grammy's to top his VMA performance."

Chris Brown Displays Vocal Growth In Acoustic Set

Chris Brown and U.G.L.Y.
With all the auto-tune Chris Brown relies on nowadays during performances and songs, it would be difficult to remember that he actually has great vocals instead of confusing him for being Captain Crunch’s robotic fiend.

The comeback singer covered Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles”, alongside group U.G.L.Y, in an impromptu acoustic performance and mashed it up with his R&B hit “No Bullsh*t”.

Chris Brown on WhoSay

Kudos to Chris for covering one of the best pop songs of the last decade. Listening to this cover not only signifies Chris’s growth vocally, but also displays his unique tone of voice. It’s refreshing to actually hear him sing without the necessity of auto-tune.

I’ve made it no secret that I’m a huge Chris Brown fan, regardless of his past and the ignorance he sometimes displays. If he continues to show improvement, he’ll become one of the most influential stars that our generations knows.

I hope he didn’t cover this as a birthday gift for Beyonce

Kevin McCall Discusses Solo Album and Chris Brown's "Fortune"

Kevin McCall has yet to release an album yet has already been making a name for himself as a songwriter and a producer. McCall played a pivotal role in the making of Chris Brown’s career-reviving hit “Deuces” and majority of mixtapes, “Yesterday” by P.Diddy, “One Night Stand” by Keri Hilson and Chris Brown, and “Roll Up” by Wiz Khalifa.

Rap-Up caught up with the hitmaker to discuss his solo music and what the outcome of Chris Brown’s upcoming album “Fortune” will sound like.

“Chris Brown is behind me 100 percent,” said Kevin, who formed a writing team with Chris and SeVen (formerly of RichGirl). “I’m working with Chris a lot. I did a lot of stuff with other producers just because I believe you have to venture out to find new sounds.”

He also told Rap-Up that he and Breezy collaborated heavily on "Fortune", which is scheduled to be released early 2012. “The Fortune album is really done. Chris Brown has four albums done if he wants to,” he revealed. He then revealed that "the album’s done and it’s great. I like it better than F.A.M.E. personally.”

Kevin is also planning on joining Chris on select dates of his “F.A.M.E.” tour, which starts later this month.

It’s exciting to see someone as refreshing as Kevin to be producing songs for Chris. Most of his productions have been top-notch R&B/Pop and it will be interesting to see whether he can concoct something stellar and unique for Breezy. Anything but songs like “Oh My Love” or “Say It With Me” should be created, or else there’s going to be a plethora of problems.

Adele, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne Lined Up To Perform At MTV VMAs

VMA Performers Announced
After proving that the industry is hitting an all-time low with its nomination list, MTV has confirmed a few of the scheduled performers for the VMA Awards, which will take place on August 28 at the Los Angeles Nokia Theatre.

Firstly, my bro Chris Brown will be slaying your faves when he takes the stage. It’s the first prestigious award show that he has attended since the incident with Rihanna. Last time Chris performed was in 2007 with his iconic “Wall To Wall” and “Kiss Kiss” performance.

Adele will also be making her VMA stage debut as she is also set to perform. Her album, “21”, is the best-selling album of 2011 so far and she is nominated for 7 awards. “21” has sold close to 8 million worldwide, which is a blessing for the music industry.

Lil Wayne will also perform a day before the release of his new album. “Tha Carter IV”. The last time he performed was in 2008 when he performed “Got Money”, “A Milli”, and “Don’t Get It”. This should serve as a great promotional tool, as the hype for this project has dropped.

You can check out the rest of the nomination list at MTV.

Chris Brown Scores Another Acting Gig

That Chris Brown reign is finally starting to let up!

It was recently announced that the singer will star in a new movie! Steve Harvey’s book “Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man” is about to be transformed into a movie. The movie is about four friends who finds their love lives changing as their girlfriends start reading and taking advice from Harvey’s book. The minute these friends find out what has changed their girlfriends, they take it upon themselves to adapt to the book’s teachings.

Sounds like an interesting film!

Steve Harvey has also spoken about the book, Men are not bad people. But women think we're bad because they don't get us at all. We're very, very simple. We all think alike. We all basically think alike when it comes down to commitment, love, relationships, money, sex, whatever it is. We all about basically think the same."

Chris Brown and Justin Bieber premieres apocalyptic ‘Next 2 You’ music video

Chris Brown has been grinding hard with his new album, ‘F.A.M.E’. The next single, ‘Next 2 You’ featuring Justin Bieber, premiered recently.

Set during the apocalypse, the Collin Tilley-clip begins with the two heartthrobs caressing their loved ones, before Justin’s girlfriend’s father fetches her, commanding that the two shall never see eye-to-eye again. Not to long after that, Chris rushes to the window, only to experience a car exploding and face terror that lurks outside in the form of an apocalypse.

The sky begins to darken, buildings start to crumble to the ground and people start running for their lives. It’s not long before Chris runs outside and hunts his girl down, however failing to stop what would happen next; Justin’s girlfriend’s dad knocks into her, leaving her immobilized and unable to escape death. Time stops for a heart-throbbing moment before Chris decides to jump to the other side of the ground to save her, leading to his ultimate demise. We see a few African-like dance moves done by Chris and some Sangomas after this scene and discover that Justin rekindles with his girl, before the video ends.

The video was a great watch and definitely backed up by a big budget, since the label obviously knows that this song will be a huge hit. However, it was a little over-the-top with the storyline but I understood what Collin was trying to accomplish. I just can’t help but think about Britney Spears’ ‘Till The World Ends’ video, only her video was much better and brought the song to life, resulting in me constantly playing the song and becoming one of my most-played songs ever, and also causing a resurgence in sales.

You can watch the Britney-inspired video below.

Chris Brown unveils “She Ain’t You” Music Video

Finally achieve the success that he deserves, Chris Brown is giving the green light to release his next single “She Ain’t You”, off of his fourth studio album, “F.A.M.E”. The song has so far peaked at #83 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #13 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop songs.

It would have only been expected that he tribute Michael Jackson in this music video. The fedora hat and the dancing screamed MJ, but that’s a good thing. I really enjoyed the simplicity of the video and I’m glad that the director didn’t go overboard with any special effects. The video actually kind of represented a Michael Jackson Wii game, if I must say so.

You actually see Chris Brown hovering in the air at the beginning of the video before finally coming down to Earth, followed by lighting backgrounds in a room and bubbly lights and butterflies flying around after the chorus, almost to represent the fantasy childlike nature of Michael Jackson. I even saw some Ne-yo “Closer” aspects and choreography after the second verse of the song.

This video actually reminded me of Michael and what a great loss the world experienced. I’m still affected by it, even thou I never even knew him personally, yet his music made it feel as if he were talking through it to us.

Anyway, “F.A.M.E.” is out now. You can buy the album and the single over at Amazon.

Chris Brown triumphs with “Gold“ certification

After finally paying his dues and recklessly attacking fans to go out and buy his album, Chris Brown has finally seen his first Gold album since “Exclusive” was released. The album nabbed the certification in only 3 weeks for 500,000 shipped copies and has sold 413,334 copies so far. The singer is busy with his "F.A.M.E" Australian tour so he should be very grateful when he is confronted with the news.

After all the mixtapes, hit singles and the Michael Jackson tribute performance that saved his career, it does not surprise anyone that he would succeed the way he is right now. Although the album had some mishaps, it was still a substantial album inundated with many more hit singles ready to combust the charts. All he needs to do is create his own sound, but we know he followed the dance-pop trend to get his career back in shape so now hassles.

Let’s hope that he has learnt his lesson about the menacing media and will stay a good boy. For now, welcome back Chris!
