Pitchfork has just reported one of
the best news articles of the year! 2010’s breakthrough act and Mercury Music
Prize-winning stars The xx are currently recording their second album as I type
this post.
To accompany the recording process
of this album, a new blog has been created that will be used to post “inspirations
+ pictures + favourite songs”. This is such a clever way to gather even more
fans after they experience the brilliance of their self-titled debut album.
While the band remained obscure
from the public eye, Jamie xx has released a generally positive remix album
with Gil-Scot Heron and is the mastermind behind the production of Drake’s new
duet “Take Care” that features Rihanna. Speaking about Rihanna, she is also
apparently sampling a song of The xx.
Get ready for wigs to get snatched…again!
