Nominations For American Music Awards Revealed

It’s that time of the year again, when stans from across the globe switch on their generators in order to stay up all night and vote for their fave to win an AMA, thinking that they will stay relevant that way. 

Hopefully your BBM services start working again. We know that those monthly grants you used to purchase Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter IV" won't cover the electricity and cell phone bills! 

This year’s awards are bound to leave stans in tears once their faves lose, as Adele shifts her domination over to the American Music Awards. The British powerhouse leads the nominations with four nods including “Artist of the Year”. She’ll be battling Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift for the “Artist of the Year” award.  

Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and The Band Perry follow with three nominations each. Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Jason Aldean, LMFAO, and Pitbull are all nominated for two awards. 

So far, only Katy Perry and Pitbull are schedueled to perform, while additional acts and presenters will be determined in the coming weeks. Let's hope Chris Brown manages to bless us with a performance!

The 2011 AMAs will air live from the NOKIA Theatre in downtown L.A. on Sunday, November 20, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
