NEW SMASH: Nelly Furtado - "Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)"

Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)
Nelly Furtado is still the same promiscuous woman that we were introduced to a few years ago, except this time she's conformed to pop society's rules of crafting sexually-agrresive tunes that promote a healthy living. Yes folks, Nelly is back...raunchier and hornier than ever!

Nelly reintroduces herself in the form of a urban-pop banger, "Big Hoops (Bigger Is Better)". This serves as the first single off her new album, 'The Spirit Indestructable', set for a June 19 release date. It will be Nelly's first English album since 6 years ago when she burned down careers with her classic album 'Loose'. I'm expecting some bilinguilism on this album with some special flamenco bangers!

Back to the review...anyway the club banger was produced by no other than the legendary producer himself, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. Sure Nelly is reliving 2006 through Darkchild's production, but who cares? This song is hot!

Backed up by pounding drum loops, Nelly uses her infamous rap-singing style to sing about big hoops and "big things", spreading her undeniable swag over the heavy bassline while effortlessly driving the hip-hop beat. I was getting Indian vibes from the song, but that was interrupted by a military-like drum beat. Maybe the song similar to something on 'Loose' but sounds freshly ripe in a world ruled by electro-pop. The song ends with some heavy drum beats and enters a "chopped and screwed" territory that slowly ends the song.

All of these sexual innuendo and puns make "Promiscuous" sound like a virgins anthem! Who knew that Nelly thought that the bigger things are, the better they are? She even exposes her dirty bedroom skills. I want a demonstration!

The aspect that I always admired about Nelly was that she was able to musically seperate herself from her pop peers, entering different sounds to keep her interesting enough to actually make us buy her albums.

Timbo and Danja called, Darkchild - they expect some royalty checks!
