Scotty McCreery Tells Us ''The Trouble With Girls'' On New Single

American Idol winner Scotty McCreery is ready to snatch pop radio’s and the haters’ wigs off with his new single ‘The Trouble With Girls'.

Let’s be real: 'I Love You This Big’ reeked of cheesiness! But now he’s back in my good books with this song.

Penned by Nashville-based hitmakers Chris Tompkins (Underwood’s “Before He Cheats”) and Philip White (Rascal Flatts’s ”I’m Movin’ On”),“The Trouble With Girls” serves as a great platform for Scotty to crossover to pop radio. It still contains that charm that carried Scotty to the top of the American Idol throne and is stamped with his deep signature vocals, which are still as buttery-smooth as they were before.

Starting off with gentle piano keys, the song finds Scotty trying to do what most of us guys do: Figure out girls! "The trouble with girls is they're a mystery / Something about them puzzles me / Spent my whole life trying to figure out / Just what them girls are all about." croons the young country star.

He then begins to belt out the chorus, showing that he does not need his lower register to impress his massive fan base: "They smile that smile / They bat those eyes / They steal you with hello / They kill you with goodbye / They hook you with one touch / And you can't break free / Yeah the trouble with girls / Is nobody loves trouble as much as me."

The lyrics really shine and prevent Scotty from recreating every other country ballad that has been done before. Think of it as a song Tim McGraw would sing if he were 17-years old. Oh would he be so proud of Scotty once he hears this song on his portable cassette player…

You can hold onto your filthy wigs and listen to the song below. Beware: it will turn you into a fan!

Nicki Minaj And Rihanna Premiere 'Fly' Music Video

After feeding pop radio with her amazing singles ‘Moment For Life’ featuring Drake and ‘Super Bass’, Nicki Minaj is finally ready to try her luck with the Rihanna-assisted ‘Fly’.

The radio-friendly mid-tempo will undoubtedly become a hit thanks to my baby, Rihanna, embracing the chorus. It’s not as amazing as Minaj’s previous two singles from her overrated album “Pink Friday” but is one of the better songs.

The video depicts the two models posing it up in a post-apocalypse junkyard, where Nicki is later attacked by ninja’s (very random). Flowers later begin to blossom and the sun comes out of hiding behind the clouds, which I think symbolizes that darker days will become better, or whatever. It was actually beautiful and looked like one of those glossy high-budgeted Hollywood movies.

Watch the video of the two plastics using the junkyard as a runway.

Oh, and DEAD at Nicki’s cheetah wig. Babygirl’s lookin’ like an ambassador of The Big Five.

Bon Iver Release Stunning 'Holocene' Music Video

Indie folk band Bon Iver has released their new video for their single “Holocene”. The single is lifted off their second studio album “Bon Iver, Bon Iver” which is actually quiet stunning. I’ve yet to listen to the whole album properly but everything that I heard was amazing!

The video basically depicts a cave boy in Iceland who visits breathtaking areas around the area which includes green and rocky hills, a glacial lake, and a beautiful waterfall. The sceneries are really eye-catching and fit in perfectly with the soothing mood of the folky song. It really makes up for the featureless band in the video and shows us that you can do a lot if you can be imaginative.

Watch the video of the single below the jump.

Jason Derulo Reveals “Future History” Tracklisting

Hitmaker Jason Derulo is finally ready to release his second studio album “Future History”. The album release is precedent by his two hit singles “Don’t Wanna Go Home” and “It Girl”. It set to be released on September 26.

I’ve enjoyed both of his singles thus far (although “Don’t Wanna Go Home” lacks originality) and I’ll be anticipating the album. This album’s performance will be interesting because his singles are not as big as the previous albums’. I hope that he’ll at least go platinum worldwide like he did with his debut album.

Look below the jump for the tarcklisting.

1. Don't Wanna Go Home
2. It Girl
3. Breathing
4. Be
Careful
5. Make It Up As We Go
6.
Fight for You
7. Pick Up The Pieces
8. Givin' Up
9. Bleed Out
10. My Shhh
11. X
12. Dumb

Trey Songz Titles New Album "Chapter 5"

Trey Songz is preparing to release his fifth studio album very soon!

The new face of Rocawear’s 'Evolution' fragrance confirmed working on his new album, while giving it the title “Chapter 5”. “I’m working on a new album entitled ‘Chapter 5′. Music will always be my first love. I’m going to South Africa and I’m elated about it. I’m taking my mother and family. That trip will be very instrumental in what this next album will be”.

His last studio album “Passion, Pain & Pleasure” was fantastic and reached Gold status. If he could add more substance to his music instead of constantly selling sex, then maybe he could reach platinum sales.

Waiting…

Jason Derulo Premieres 'It Girl' Video

tika-sumpter-jason-derulo-it-girl-video
Jason Derulo unveiled the video for his second single ‘It Girl’ which has been getting constant plays on my phone. The Collin Tilley-directed video features black-and-white shots of Jason snuggling with “Gossip Girl” star Tika Sumpter and shows Jason exuding brilliant footwork, while other scenes feature vintage shots of the singer in dapper suits, along with solo scenes of him dancing on the beach.

“For the video, I wanted it to be an open book,” the 21-year-old singer told MTV News. “I wanted it to be almost like a photo album, so every single scene is kind of like a picture that you’re kind of looking into our relationship. So it is a 1920s vibe, it’s black and white, very high fashion—you know, you’ll see me very dapper in 1920s, Frank Sinatra-ish.”

While the video lacked a plot, it was beautiful and is another indication of Collin Tilley’s talent. The shots in the forest and outside of the house were avant garde and showed that Jason can be creative and Collin knows how to reincarnate an artists’ vision. I personally enjoyed the video's sophistication and I’ve been impressed with his videos this era. They’re better than his first.

Jason’s Moonwalk on the grass>>> your faves attempting it, yet end up looking like Frankenstein’s drugged slave on stage!

Jason Derulo's "Future History" will be released September 27.

Lil Wayne And Drake Release 'She Will', Announce Joint Album

Do any of you actually know that Lil Wayne has an upcoming album? I knew all along but with all the constant pushbacks, I almost lost track. After finally sizzling the charts up and exceeding expectations with his melodramatic single ‘How To Love’, the Young Money rapper is finally gearing up for the release of “Tha Cater IV” by releasing the next single, ‘She Will’.

The track features Weezy serving us with lot of clever metaphors (Devil on my shoulder, the lord as my witness/ So on my Libra scale, I’m weighing sins and forgiveness) before allowing Drake to deliver a catchy hook, per usual. ‘She Will’ is reminiscent of his single ‘Drop The World’, but seems more radio-friendly and darker, making for a great single that will do well on hip-hop radio and maybe crossover to pop radio thanks to the addition of Drake.

‘She Will’ does not enter any new territory, regarding the lyrics and production – however – this is the perfect way to return from releasing a top 5 single targeted towards women and big softies. This is how you handle a situation after many pushbacks – release great singles that target towards your established fan base (‘6 Foot 7 Foot’, ‘She Will’), yet enter a different territory to allow mainstream to anticipate the album (‘How To Love’).

In other news, Weezy and Drake will be the third rap duo to release a joint album. Drizzy himself revealed the idea of making a joint album with Weezy since January this year. "We still got to do that album," he said back then. "I heard some other guys are coming out with an album too. There's two other rappers that are coming out with an album together. ... I don't know where they got that idea ...".

This follows releases of joint-albums by Eminem and Royce Da 5’9 (Bad Meets Evil), and Kanye West and Jay-Z, which is predicted to sell over 500,000 copies it’s first week. However, shade was thrown to the tenth power by Young Money CEO Birdman when he confirmed his awareness that Weezy and Drake would be compared to Kanye and Jay-Z.

It’s older versus younger,” says Young Money head Brian ‘Baby’ Williams. “I listened to a few songs [off Watch the Throne] and it feels like an older feel to me. I think with Drake and Wayne, they young, they young cats. You got 23 and 28. Then you got Jay-Z and them, who are older and really on their way out the game.”

A thick piece of shade thrown and I love it! I hope Drizzy and Weezy snatch Kanye and Jay’s nappy wigs off. I was not absorbed into the hype of “Watch The Throne” and I know that it’s all about them stroking their already-huge egos.

Coldplay Announce Album Title For Fifth Studio Album

Melodramatic band Coldplay has revealed details regarding their upcoming fifth studio album. The album will bare the strange title “Mylo Xyloto”, which is pronounced my-lo zy-le-to, and was suggested by the band’s fan back in July when the fan found out that the title was registering on the Performing Rights Society website.

 *crickets chirp*…

Seriously? Are they trying too hard with this title?

The record will feature production from Markus DravsDaniel Green, Rik Simpson, and U2 and regular Coldplay producer Brian Eno who, at the same time, provides "enoxification" for the anticipated album. “Enoxification”? I’m not even going to try…

Their second single is called "Paradise", which is the follow up single of "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall", and will be released on September 12. The band would then tour in both U.K. and U.S. in December and worldwide next spring.

Available in digital, CD and vinyl formats, the new album will be released in the U.S. on October 25.
"A special limited edition Pop-Up Album version will also be available, which will include a 12" x 12" hardback book containing graffiti pop-up art designed by David A. Carter, vinyl, CD and exclusive content including photographs, excerpts from the studio diary and the band's personal notebooks," the official announcement read.

I’ve been disappointed with their latest songs so I might lose interest once their second single comes out. I don’t think they’re bothered since their fan base is huge!

Lady Gaga Reveals "You And I" Release Date

Lady Gaga brings out her alter ego on the cover of ‘You and I’, which will premiere on MTV this Thursday, August 18 at 7:30 P.M. EST. The clip will be directed by Haus of Gaga with choreography done by Lauriann Gibson. Following the premiere, Gaga will make a special announcement in New York. No, it’s got nothing to do with her resignation after hearing the news about Kelly Clarkson!

Lady Gaga You And I music video still 1
Apparently, this video will be one of her best to date. Personally, I couldn’t care less. We’ve heard this countless times and we’ve always been left disappointed. I was a Lady Gaga fan but her music this era is not doing it for me. Besides a few tracks on the album, I couldn’t make it half-way through “Born This Way”.

You can check out the video’s concept over at Toyaz World and listen to the song after the jump.

Britney Spears To Release 3D Concert DVD

Is The Holy Spearit actually recording a 3D concert tour DVD? Well, that’s what Her Majesty magically hinted at in her “tweet”, resulting in many lives being drastically changed.

Britney Spears has reportedly announced that her ‘Femme Fatale’ tour will be released on DVD. Her TV/DVD special was shot last night at her sold-out concert in Toronto and will be available on the video on demand service EPIX.

In other words, this concert DVD will be EPIC!

“Had so much fun last night Montreal. Can’t wait for Toronto where I’m filming my show to be aired on EpixHD and for release on DVD!” she tweeted.

She still remains more humble than any other human being walking the Earth!

Demi Lovato Reveals Third Album Title "Unbroken", Talks With Elle Magazine

demi lovato elle 2011 issue
Demi Lovato’s stint in rehab definitely served as inspiration for her album which she has decided to call “Unbroken”. The singer revealed the title of her third studio album via her Facebook and Twitter account. "I'm happy to announce the title of my new album: Unbroken!" the former Disney star wrote on Facebook.

The album is scheduled to be released in the United States on September 20, which is preceded by its lead single "Skyscraper" which peaked at No. 10 on Billboard Hot 200.  There has been no other information regarding other tracks on the album, although there are rumours flying around that Missy Elliot and Timbaland will be contributing to the album.

I’m curious to see if Demi will still implement that pop/R&B sound that she intended to do. After she tweeted pictures of her in the studio with Timbaland and Missy, I'm hoping that she surprises everybody and finally ditches the manufactured pop/rock sound.

In other news, the singer has landed a spread in the September issue of Elle magazine. The photo shoot was shot by Daniel King and styled by Christopher Niquet. The shoot only provides me to hunt down Demi and propose to her.

Kelly Clarkson To Slay With New Single This Month

After months of waiting, Kelly Clarkson’s label is finally ready to release a first single! Kelly Godson’s new tune is reportedly titled “Mr. Know It All”, and will officially drop on August 30. A radio presenter has already heard the song and was slayed in his current and next life:

"So this morning one of the labels came in and played us the brand new track from Kelly Clarkson.  I heard the leak a few months ago, and let me tell you this is not it!  The track is called "Mr. Know It All" and it is AMAZING! Kelly still has the huge powerful voice, but does some new things with it and incorporates some great drum beats and tempo."

"In my opinion the background has a "Just the Way You Are" sound and I instantly compared the vocal to Pink, with how raspy Kelly tries to go with it."

"Unfortunately, I was not allowed to keep the copy, but got to listen to it twice.  The single officially drops on AUgust 30th, but as soon as I can put it up here I will and I am sure you will be hearing it on MyFM!"

Absolutely brilliant! This is the perfect direction that Kelly should be taking, as a dance-pop song would come across as unoriginal and forced and her pop-rock sound will be a predictable route for her. Maybe a Bruno Mars and Kelly Clarkson collaboration?

I can already see your faves handing in their resignation forms...

Common And Nas Display Their 'Ghetto Dreams' In New Video

Two of hip-hop’s most prominent figures Common and Nas premiered the video for ‘Ghetto Dreams’, a track lifted off Common’s upcoming album “The Dreamer, The Believer”, due November 22.

The video basically depicts a rough-looking Common laying on a couch with Nas, both envisioning how life would be with “the one”…

That is all.

Wiz Khalifa Party's It Up In 'No Sleep' Video

Have you ever woken up and immediately thrown on a pair of glasses, preparing yourself for a party taking place the same evening? Well that what happens in Wiz Khalifa’s world.

The radio rapper premiered the Collin Tilley-directed video of his top ten single, the Benny Blanco-produced ‘No Sleep’.

The video contains a visual insight of what happens in Wiz’s underground parties, which includes women sticking their tongues down each other’s throats, friends randomly carrying a taxi door, people seeing double, and most importantly, everybody being deprived of their sleep. It’s all visual and no substance to be honest.

Jojo Slays Her Acoustic Set At Staples

JoJo
Remember Jojo? That R&B/Pop artist that snatched everybody’s wig with hits like ‘Leave (Get Out)’and ‘Too Little Too Late’? Well, she’s been struggling to release her album. But if she continues to slay with vocals like this, then she’ll have no problem recruiting a new fanbase.

The slaying took place at Do Something’s Staples for Students event, where students met up to gaze upon the star. Backed up by a guitarist and a percussionist, the singer belted out hits from her discography, such as “Leave (Get Out)”, “Too Little Too Late”, along with a single off her upcoming album with the same name, “Jumping Trains”.

Watch the great performances of the underrated singer below.

Chris Brown Announces Fall Tour Date

Blonde shell singer Chris Brown is making it known that he is slowly getting his career back on track after it seemed that he had totally derailed himself after his media obscenities. The singer announced his “F.A.M.E Tour”, which will indefinitely support his #1 album, “F.A.M.E”.

"This tour will allow me to paint a picture musically," Brown said in the announcement. "I want to bring a lot of energy and excitement to all the fans. It's going to be a great show."

The singer will be performing across North America this fall and will be aided by fellow artists T-Pain, Kelly Rowland, and Tyga, who will serve as the opening acts. All three of them need this tour and this just goes to show how generous Breezy is: giving his fans a four-in-one deal! Jason Derulo Releases 'Future History' Trailer

Check out the newly released trailer for Jason Derulo’s second studio album, “Future History”. The trailer showcases Jason talking about his family, the feeling of releasing his first record, and about the risks he has taken for the project. It’s a really good trailer, intersected with Jason’s overall performances throughout his career.

You can also check out his performances at the Teen Choice Awards and America’s Got Talent. Is it me or is Jason’s label actually doing great promotion and single-wise? His album only comes out in September, yet he has two singles out already. I have a feeling that I’ll be one of the only few enjoying his album.

Game Reveals 'R.E.D' Tracklisting

The R.E.D. Album
After sparking interest and attempting to snatch Jay-Z and friends' wigs off, Game is finally ready to release his album, “The R.E.D. Album”, almost a decade after his last studio album (I kid I kid). The tracklisting looks very promising and I hope Game all the best. Fans have awaited this album for years. Let’s just hope that those same fans will support this album.

Tracklisting is after the jump.

Frank Ocean Covers Fader Magazine

It seems like Frank Ocean’s star is starting to shine even brighter! Fresh from painting his presence onto the “Watch The Throne” album, the R&B crooner has landed on the cover of Fader Magazine.

I can’t wait for his album! If you have yet to listen to his mixtape Nostalgia, Ultra then I suggest that you download it faster than Ne-Yo's receding hairline!

Listen to one of the best songs of 2011 from Frank Ocean’s “Nostalgia, Ultra” mixtape called ‘American Wedding’.

The Dream Plans To Release Free Album

Terius Nash Est. 1977
Apparently, The Dream is releasing a new internet album for free.

Who knew?

In June, the singer released a dual single “Body Work”/”Fuck My Brains Out,” but that did absolutely nothing on the charts.

Anyway, the album’s title is “Terius Nash Est.1977” and the cover was released today. “The Internet LP is entitled 1977 and will be released under my real name Terius Nash not The-Dream. Shooting Videos for 1977 all this week. The TERIUS NASH EST. 1977 is very personal and to my Fans!”

The album will most likely be released in order to build up hype for his fourth studio album, The Love, IV: Diary of a Madman”, “LP4 is Underway I THE-DREAM have decided to go forward with Diary Of A Madman LP it almost didnt happen. So ill be in my DefJam uniform for atleast one More Season!” he tweeted.

“Also a free 10 song Internet album will be released by Aug 31st. LP 4 because of the Contract negotiations does not have a date but it will be released 4th quarter but i will give a 10 song Internet LP while you guys wait!!!! LOVE YOU.”

Obviously the label is not happy about this, “BTW NO ONE AT DEFJAM IS HAPPY ABOUT A FREE ALBUMLOL…. they are trying to stop it!”

Are you going to be downloading it?

Jason Derulo Finds His "It Girl" On Second Single

It’s no secret that Jason Derulo is a good hit maker and songwriter. He is an excellent dancer and could be better performance-wise. Jason wants to show us his more sensitive side on his new single “It Girl”.

Although it sounds a bit generic, “It Girl” strips Jason from the usual auto-tuned vocals that we’re used to from Jason and shows us his real vocals. Let’s be real – he is not the best singer, but he is a better singer than Chris Brown.

The radio-friendly track starts off with a gentle whistle and a strummed guitar, before he kicks off with the song which clearly has pinches of his Haitian heritage sprinkled over it. It’s a really catchy song.

“It Girl” should do well on the radio and will be released as the second single off of Jason’s sophomore album, “Future History”.

Sabi Let's Her "Wild Heart" Out On New Track

Remember Sabi? The girl with the terrible, yet tolerable rap feature on Britney Spears’ “(Drop Dead) Beautiful”?

Well, she’s back!

After scoring another feature with Cobra Starship (which is climbing up the charts), the singer/rapper finally opens up her heart on her new single “Wild Heart”. The song was produced by The Dream Machine, who used to be apart of the production team Let’s Go To War, the team that created the amazing Britney Spears song “Mmm Papi”. However, “Wild Heart” sounds nothing like “Mmm Papi”, and I mean that in a good way! It’s another knocking dubstep track, but don’t let that fool you. The song is really brilliant and will actually shut her haters up that give her the side eye.

When you enter this industry, people expect to hear either a hit or a great song from you – this is both!

I’m hoping for more songs like “Wild Heart” from Sabi so that I can forget about her terrible verse on “(Drop Dead) Beautiful”.

Drake Makes "Headlines" With New Single

 Headlines Promo Photo
After teasing fans with leaks from recording sessions of “Take Care”, Young Money artist Drake has finally debuted the lead single, “Headlines”.

Opening with some striking horns, the track finds Drake rapping about his accomplishments, before bragging about his riches and calling out “soap opera rappers” (oh, the irony). It’s the typical Drake lyrics, meaning that some of us will be rapping to it in a few days time, while others will be using the lyrics as quotes on facebook.

Listen to you expressing all them feelings
Soap opera rappers all these niggas sound like All My Children
And that's how you thinking is about to come and make a killing
I guess it really is just me, myself, and all my millions

Now “Headlines” is not “Marvin’s Room” and is not going to break any new grounds, but it serves its purpose of keeping hip-hop head fans satisfied while also trying to please his R&B fanbase.

With the leaks that we were given and Drake bragging about working with indie artists (Florence Welsh and The xx), you’d expect more from “Headlines”. At first it’s disappointing, but with a few more spins you’ll be hooked. It’s the same incident with “Over”.

Make sure you get “Take Care” when it’s released on October 24, 2011.
