Adam Lambert Returns With "Better Than I know Myself"

It what feels like almost forever since we last heard new music from our second-favourite American Idol Adam Lambert, a brand new single titled “Better Than I Know Myself” has finally premiered.

In today’s day and age of “hot today, gone tomorrow” artists, a sophomore slump is easier to obtain than Nicole Scherzinger getting a hit. Luckily, Adam has teamed up with pop’s most notorious producer and songwriter “Dr. Luke and Claude Kelly.

The xx Leak New Demo "Open Eyes"

Hear a New Demo From The xx
There’s nothing better than receiving a new song from The xx on Christmas! My favourite indie band has leaked a demo “Open Eyes”, which was recorded during the production of their impending sophomore album.

Featuring a sparse consisting of a lonely guitar, the song stays in path with the sound that we found on their debut. I obviously love it, but it’s a demo so I’m hoping that they also try to incorporate different musical elements.

Listen to “Open Eyes” below.

Ke$ha Saves Hip-Hop On "Sleazy 2.0"

It has been a while since we last saw the party starter Ke$ha, who finally sobered up upon hearing that hip-hop heavyweights André 3000, T.I., Lil Wayne and (to a lesser extent) Wiz Khalifa were willing to collaborate with the newly crowned Princess of hip-hop.

The glitter gladiator’s relentless slaying is set to continue with the release of the hood rat anthem “Sleazy”, now titled "Sleazy 2.0: Get Sleazier". This infectious urban pop jam still remains fresh in today’s excuse for hip-hop and shall become 2011’s Christmas carol in every hood possible.

Some people might be disappointed with the lack of the game-changing rapping skills of Ke$ha present, replaced by the rap trio, but that doesn’t distract you from the song’s brassiness and shall leave faux hip-hop heads blasting this single out of their retired mom’s car.

Check out all the action below. “Sleazy 2.0.” is available to buy at iTunes.

Cassie Shows Off New Sexy Look In "King Of Hearts" Preview

Cassie Ventura, also known as Bad Boy’s Rihanna (lol), has finally dug herself from the graveyard and is planning on resurrecting her upcoming music career. The sexy model has released the new trailer for “King Of Hearts” and boy was it worth the wait!

Sporting a modern-Xena look, the princess of Bad Boy seduces us with a new pair of puppies as she prepares to pay back a lover who has left her scorned. The production of this video seems like it was built on a budget bigger than Cassie’s new twins and has all the makings of a  fantastic video.

Diddy better provide all of his flop acts with such a budget as well, unless they refuse to strike his “ego”.

The Queen has also been busy for 3 years on her album “Electro Love”, which will include production credits from Pharell Williams, Jean Batiste, and man of the moment, Rico Love.

Watch and bow before the queen of hearts!

Paramore Displays New Country Sound And Slays On "In The Mourning"

While Paramore fans continue to mourn the departure of The Farro Brothers, Hayley Williams is clearly trying to forget about the incident and uses it to write meaningful records.

Well, in the latest leak, “In The Mourning”, Hayley clearly shows that she wants to put things to rest; however, that is not the only thing that Hayley displays. It seems as if Paramore are taking risks with their sound, opting to infuse country elements into the song. And the results are mind-blowing!

Although the acapella demo leaked in January already, we had to wait until now to hear the song in its final form. Written by Hayley for fun, the song ended up as the last song of their SinglesClub offering.

Saviour Of Music Janelle Monae To Release Two Albums In 2012

Janelle Monae has delivered the best news of the year so far: two album releases in 2012!

The saviour of music has been hard at work on her albums and plans to continue to shape the normally dull world of pop music. The album is “84.799 percent” complete, thus giving us enough time to escape from the impending slayage to take place.

If you haven't listened to her previous album, "The ArchAndroid", then I suggest you do as soon as possible. It will change your worthless life and add meaning to it!

You ready?

Kelly Clarkson Slays "I'll Be Home For Christmas"

Never in my whole entire life have I experienced so many Christmas rush-releases from artists. It’s as if every label executive held a gun to these artists’ heads, threatening to terminate any future obligations.

Luckily, Kelly Clarkson is one of those exceptional artists who will release a great EP and has decided to tease us with her version of “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”. Yes, Kelly effortlessly murders the song, however, not in the same way that Justin Bieber effortlessly effortlessly “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. I’m sure Mariah knew that his selling power is stronger than hers now, thus concocting this plan to embarrass him.

Lana Del Rey Delivers The Goods On "Born To Die", Features In V Magazine

Lana Del Ray V Magazine
Internet sensation Lana Del Rey, real name Elizabeth Grant, has had an exceptional year. After releasing an EP, entitled “Kill Kill”, in 2009 under the name Lizzy Grant, Rey uploaded a song of hers “Video Games” on Youtube in August 2011 to critical and commercial success, reaching number one on charts in 9 countries and receiving over 10 million views.

The sexy singer has now landed in V Magazine’s first-ever Music Issue, further illustrating her ever-growing success. The Lake Placid native is now receiving the recognition that she deserves.
"You talk about all these things that happened to me in this short space of time, but the one thing that has really changed is that I now have an audience," she tells V. "I turn up in Glasgow or Manchester or Amsterdam and there are good people waving at me from the crowd. That’s amazing.”

Video Roundup: The Weeknd, Beyonce, And Jason Derulo

I know that I’ve been acting a fool but I was busy with exams (ended two weeks ago) and then worked as well (ended on Wednesday), so that meant less time blogging. But I didn’t forget to watch a few videos that are sure to entertain you (or not).

Beyonce – “Dance For You”

Firstly, we’ll start with Beyonce’s video for her song “Dance For You”. Just like most of The Dream’s rejected tracks (see Rihanna’s “Do Ya Thang”), “Dance For You” is an example of great mid-tempo song that was neglected and discarded to the bonus track territory, yet having the potential to set the mood for any $2 ho to shake what Dr. 901210 made her.

J.Cole Covers RESPECT Magazine

Roc Nation rapper J. Cole covers the year-end, second anniversary cover of RESPECT magazine out November 29.

Dress in all black everything, the rapper silences his critics and speaks on his newfound success. It’s been three years of hustling before Cole finally achieved success.

It should also be noted the J. Cole really is living in a Cole World as his debut album “Cole World: The Sideline Story” is the highest-charting album from a new artist, selling 218,000 copies its first week. What an achievement!

Adam Lambert And Dr. Luke To Strike Gold With "Better Than I Know Myself"

After previously announcing that Adam Lambert would be releasing an album, the Glambert took to his Twitter account to announce the name of his sophomore album and single.

Dr. Luke will give Adam another shot at superstardom by producing the lead single, “Better Than I Know Myself”. Frequent partners in crime Cirkut and Ammo co-produced the song, while Claude Kelly helped with the songwriting.

A hit waiting to happen? I think so!

Rihanna Brings Out Dr. Luke For "You Da One"

After experiencing a record-breaking #1 single with “We Found Love” Rihanna is ready to unleash another smash to the world with “You Da One”.

Produced by super producer Dr. Luke, the Ester Dean-penned track finds Rihanna benevolently putting her lover on a pedestal and expressing how he sends her into a love spiral. It’s reminiscent of those blissful memories of being with that special person that sweeps you off your feet.

Listen To Snippets Of Rihanna's "Talk That Talk"

The thought of being able to buy Rihanna’s “Talk That Talk” in a few days time gives me enough reason to have a seizure from this frivolous shaking and crying!

Well, let the shaking and crying begin because snippets of the album have leaked…and by what I’m hearing, I’m sure there’ll be a trail of tattered wigs left on the floor when people hear this.

The album features 11 tracks which all include her sassiness, fragileness, and aggressiveness that will keep us entertained for quite some time. Based on snippets alone, I can tell that it shits all over “Loud”. Keep a look out for her second single, “You Da One”, which gets released to radio 11 November and to iTunes 13 November.

The xx Currently Busy With Second Album

The xx Start Work on New Album
Pitchfork has just reported one of the best news articles of the year! 2010’s breakthrough act and Mercury Music Prize-winning stars The xx are currently recording their second album as I type this post.

To accompany the recording process of this album, a new blog has been created that will be used to post “inspirations + pictures + favourite songs”. This is such a clever way to gather even more fans after they experience the brilliance of their self-titled debut album.

New Video: The Roots - 'Tip The Scale'

To coincide with the December 6 release of their concept album “undun”, The Roots are going on a premiering spree by releasing a video at 12:06 every Tuesday, which cleverly mirrors the 12/6 release date of the album.

You can watch the video below for 'Tip The Scale', which picks up with the story of “Make My”, depicting a lonesome boy walking in a rough neighborhood and stays in line with the story of “the boy who becomes criminal, but he wasn’t born criminal”.

Pink Shows Her Vulnerable Side On "Happy Feet Two" Song "Bridge Of Light"

As if landing a role in one of the most-anticipated films of the year was not enough, Pink has received the privilege of recording a song for the soundtrack of the upcoming “Happy Feet Two” film.

Lead by whimsical keys, the singer sings about not giving up before the song blooms into a classical production perfect for playing during the Christmas week. It’s a departure from the usual pop-rock that we’ve come to expect from Pink with the song giving space to show off her strong vocals.

Lady Gaga Performs 'Marry The Night' At The MTV European Awards

Lady Gaga took the stage at the MTV EMA’s to display a perform of her new single “Marry The Night”, the fourth single off her multi-platinum album, “Born This Way”.

With a solar set that resembled the props used in Janet Jackson’s “Feedback” video, the megastar gave a great performance of the song. Although there was no elaborated choreography, besides a few hairlicopters, the performance focused more on Gaga’s vocals than her shocking outfits of gimmicks that usually plague the stage.

Watch below as Steffani shows her growth as an artist.

Cassie Looks Delicious In New Chocolat Smoothing Collection

Cassie makes every man’s fantasy come turn in her new promotional photos for Carol's Daughter new line of products! As if the freshly grilled steaks I’m about to eat were not enough to fill me, Cassie has just quenched my thirst with these new pictures.

It’s obvious that the girl is keeping herself relevant before she ends careers with her upcoming album “Electro Love”. Hey, if the music can’t bring in the money, there’s ALWAYS the modeling to do just that.

Yummy!

Robin Thicke Unveils "Love After War" Cover, Releases "Pretty Lil' Heart" Featuring Lil Wayne

Robin Thicke really wants 2011 to be all about the baby-making. The “blue-eyed soul boy” revealed the cover for his fifth studio album, “Love After War”, which features a portrait of his face with his blue eyes being the focal point.

The album will be released as a 17-track standard and 20-track-deluxe version. The scheduled date for release is December 6th, 2011.

Trey Songz Recycles His Debut Album's Cover For "Inevitable"

Trey Songz just keeps on coming out with new music. Preparing to release  Chapter 5” next year, the singer is releasing mixtapes to hype up his projects. The crooner unveiled the cover of his upcoming EP “Inevitable” which has a tentative release date of November 29th.

So his using his debut album cover as this EP’s cover? Has Trey finally stopped becoming an overtly sexual kitten and is ready to release to fuel us with substance-filled songs that he can create? Anything but “Bottoms Up” and I’ll be fine (it was a guilty pleasure).

You can pre-order the EP over here while you “angels” wait for his sextape to leak.

Justin Bieber Destroys Careers With "Otis" Freestyle

Stopping by at Power 106’s Big Boy’s neighborhood, Justin Bieber took the time to make DJ Premier eat his words up after Premiere denied Bieber in on any of the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards cyphers. The producer accused Bieber of wanting Ludacris to write a rhyme for him.
"If you ain't writing your own rhyme, you can't do it. So, Justin, you gotta take a backseat on that one," Premier told HipHopDX.
Well people are about to be shocked after Bieber’s alter ego, “Shawty Mane”, spat some sick verses over Jay-Z and Kanye West’s (also known as “The Throne”) hit “Otis”.

Jojo Returns With 'Disaster' Music Video

Teen pop star Jojo shows us how easily a strong relationship can go sour in a split second in her new video for “Disaster”. The Benny Boom-clip depicts Jojo having fun with her boyfriend before things take a turn for the worse. She overcomes her emotions by rocking out with a live band, similar to her “How To Touch A Girl” video.

That’s it! The video is as exciting as watching cakes rise in an oven but gets the job done as it perfectly suits the message of the song.

Gym Class Heroes Delivers The Best Lyrical Video For "Ass Back Home"

Riding off the success of their top ten single “Stereo Hearts”, Gym Class Heroes are back with a new video for their single “Ass Back Home”. It seems like the perfect song to release because it could help future pop star Neon Hitch.

Yes, I couldn’t stand Neon Hitch but after “Bad Dog”couldn't help but warm up to her. Every song ever released since has attracted me even more to the long lost cousin of Ke$ha.

Let’s stay on topic and continue to praise Gym Class Heroes’ new video. It takes the stance of a lyrical video with intersected scenes of the simple life of a couple, who incorporate the lyrics as they live their lives of a normal suburban couple. It’s a fresh way of depicting that the smallest things we do for people count more than what the world can offer us.

Behind The Scenes: Rihanna Chooses "Talk That Talk" Cover

A new video has surfaced, depicting a very confident Rihanna, who’s arguing about which cover of her latest album, “Talk That Talk”, should be used.

It’s a really interesting video and shows off Rihanna’s strong personality. Riri also lets us know that she thinks her standard cover for the album is iconic as it shows her in a different light.

I couldn't agree more!

Adele Shows Off Curves And Cleavage On Cosmopolitan Magazine

Adele shows off her curves on the cover of the latest issue of Cosmopolitan, which hits stands November 8. The singer discusses her record deals, her boyfriends that inspired her records, and her favorite singers.

Adele’s rep is also making sure that rumours about the singer having any vocal diseases is killed, as they sent out a statement reiterating that the singer is cancelling all her remaining 2011 dates to “undergo surgery for a hemorrhaged vocal chord”.
"All reports regarding any other condition are 100% false."
What amazes me is the fact that she looks even beautiful by showing her full body. I bet it’s photoshopped but the fact remains that she’s showing some cleavage. This will undoubtedly push her already 11 million-selling album, “21”, to excruciating heights.

Drake Raises Anticipation For "Take Care" With Lil Wayne And T.I. Tracks

After announcing the track listing for “Take Care”, the song “Motto” featuring Lil Wayne leaked. The song did not appear on the track listing but I’m sure it’s the “Untitled” track.

Drake visited Power 106 to present the song to the world along with a T.I. remix of “Headlines”, which has stalled in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100.

The remix with T.I. does not do the song justice. However, T.I. should create a mixtape with all the songs he’s currently jumping onto so that he can continue his rampage of destroying your faves!

Janet Jackson Recognized As A Goddess On Harper's Bazaar Arabia Cover

Janet featured in November issue of Harper's Bazaar Arabia
Janet Jackson continues to show us why she is better than our faves. At the age of 45 Janet Jackson covers the November issue of Arabian Harper’s Bazaar and has a feature story, which was all done during her stay in the Middle East on her record-breaking “Number Ones: Up, Close, & Personal” tour.

The living Goddess effortlessly shows us why she remains one of the industry’s most iconic performances, reinventing herself era after era and producing quality music which stand against the test of time. Even Harper’s Bazaar acknowledges my future wife by referring to her as a “Goddess”!

Chris Brown To "Strip" For His "Biggest Fan"

That Chris Breezy reign won’t let up!

Chris Brown revealed via Twitter that he is gearing up for the release of his new studio album, “Fortune”.

Do you haters know what that means? Yep, new music!

The Blonde bombshell revealed that his two upcoming singles, “Strip” and “Biggest Fan”, are currently being mixed. "Strip" will feature hit maker Kevin McCall while "Biggest Fan" will be produced by The Runners. He even urged his fans to keep on requesting them on radio.

Drake Invites Andre 3000, Rihanna, And Nicki Minaj To Join Him On "Take Care"

Take Care
Seems like Drake is using all the star power he can get to make “Take Care” sell!

Initially wanting to keep the features to a minimum, The ‘Headlines’ star gave into Lil Wayne’s wishes and plagued his albums with guest stars. Don’t worry, these people have some serious star power and I’m betting that most of them will be hit singles.

Beyonce Gets "Inspired" By New Edition In 'Love On Top' Video

Beyonce flexes her feet in her new video for “Love on Top’’, the Australian single off her album 4. The impending mother of one wears a pilot’s hat while leading a troupe of back-up dancers while they mime the lyrics of the song,

The clip then changes from daylight to night and showcases Bey sporting a formal look including a white suit, gold suit, and a black tuxedo. She then completes her modulations and falls to the ground, which is followed by her being sucked back into the rehearsal studio.

Now read these lies!

Coldplay And Rihanna Duet On New Song "Princess Of China"

Chris Martin has been bragging about Coldplay’s duet with Rihanna being their favourite song off their upcoming album Mylo Xyloto. Well, the song called "Princess of China" has leaked and serves as a milestone for Coldplay because they have never collaborated with any star before.

Katy Perry Performs "The One That Got Away" On X-Factor UK

Chart-topper Katy Perry took the stage tonight on result show of X-Factor UK to perform an acoustic rendition of her new single “The One That Got Away”. The song is currently off her album, Teenage Dream, which has catapulted Perry into super stardom.

Drake Featured on 'Saturday Night Live', Performs With Nicki Minaj

Drake finally started promotion for his upcoming album Take Care which has been moved back to November 15th. This gives him enough time to let his new single “Make Me Proud” featuring Nicki Minaj blow up at radio.

Listen To Snippets Of Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger"

Kelly Clarkson is gearing up for the release of her upcoming album Stronger, which is due October 24th. To please fans, a 25-minute stream filled with snippets of 17 songs has been released.

Yes people, all of those fantastic leaks ("Dumb + Dumb=U" is renamed as "Einstein") are included on the album. I’m currently pleased with what I’m hearing so I’ll definitely pick up my copy upon the album’s release. In fact, one shouldn't base the strength of an album by listening to the snippets, but these songs are AMAZING! It sounds better than any pop album released this year by a mainstream female artist ("4", "Femme Fatale", "Born This Way"). 'Mr. Know It All' does not serve as an representation of this album and there are stronger songs on this album than 'Mr. Know It All'.

Listen to the tracks below and check out the tracklisting.

The King Is Back! T.I. Puts Kanye And Jay-Z To Shame On "Nigga's In Paris" Remix

The King is back!

After flopping harder than Beyonce’s belly with his album No Mercy, T.I. is finally ready to show the world that he was brushing off his skills in jail (excuse the filthy pun).

T.I. has done some stupid things in the past but he is one clever dude (listen to Paper Trial). And deciding to remix Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Niggas In Paris” couldn't have been a more befitting track for the rapper!

Nominations For American Music Awards Revealed

It’s that time of the year again, when stans from across the globe switch on their generators in order to stay up all night and vote for their fave to win an AMA, thinking that they will stay relevant that way.

Hopefully your BBM services start working again. We know that those monthly grants you used to purchase Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter IV" won't cover the electricity and cell phone bills!

This year’s awards are bound to leave stans in tears once their faves lose, as Adele shifts her domination over to the American Music Awards. The British powerhouse leads the nominations with four nods including “Artist of the Year”. She’ll be battling Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift for the “Artist of the Year” award.

Rihanna Reveals "Talk That Talk" Album Covers

Rihanna Talk That Talk album cover regular
Rihanna continues to show the world her cocky attitude on her latest album cover of Talk That Talk, due November 21. The album is preceded by the lead single “We Found Love” which has been smashing records around the globe (I don’t think it deserves to, but whatever).

The pop vixen flaunts her sexiness as she licks her lips while holding her five-head in the palm of the hand that feeds us. The deluxe edition features the sultress in total shock, with smoke pouring out of her mouth. I bet she’s in shock from all of the success she’s receiving!

Neon Bunny To Return With New Mini-Album

My favourite artist of 2011, Neon Bunny, is finally getting ready to release a mini-album after shredding my $1 wig with her debut Seoulight.

The mini-album will be blessed by the hands of Cliff Lin, the same man who helmed production credits on Seoulight. The New York based musician/composer has tackled almost every aspect of the entertainment industry that the human mind could imagine, with credits to his name for crafting music for film (‘Transformers’), television (‘NCIS’), advertisements (Google, Coca-Cola), video games (The fantastic ‘Call Of Duty’), and pop stars (Ashley Tisdale, Clay Aiken). This basically means that Cliff Lin is God’s gift to the industry.

The eight-date tour will include his largest London show to date as he is scheduled to play at the Wembly Arena on March 1st.
